I have subscribed for RML service on my mobile for one year. I wanted to buy Rotavator, but was unable to buy it, because it was too costly. Then, one day, I got a message from RML that the government is giving subsidy on Rotavator. I contacted the agriculture officer and bought the Rotavator and I got Rs. 20,000/- off on that. |

I cultivate potatoes and Basmati in my fields and use RML service. After harvesting my potato crop, a local trader wanted to purchase my potatoes at the rate of Rs. 365/- per bag. But since I knew the market rates of potatoes sent by RML on my mobile, I sold them at the rate of Rs. 427/- per bag. With this I got good rate for 2500 bags of my potatoes and made a got a profit of Rs. 1,55,000/-. |

I, Sunil Sharma, became a member to get information about farming from Thomson Reuters Company. I obtained information about the Mandis of toria. I had a stock of 100 quintals of toria. I was just going to sell it in my neighbouring village at the rate of Rs. 250/- per quintal. That very evening I got a message from RML that the rate of toria in the Mandis is Rs. 300/- to 350/- per quintal. I sold the toria in my village at the rate of Rs. 300/- per quintal which earned me a profit of Rs. 5000/- at the rate of Rs. 50/- per quintal on 100 quintals. Therefore, I am thankful to RML. |

I had got the RML card activated on my mobile due to which I received a message at 8 O’ Clock in the morning that within the next 24 hours rains were expected. After being cut, the paddy was lying in the fields which I collected in the store and got covered with the haystacks. This spared my paddy in 35 acres from being spoilt which saved me from loss of thousands of rupees. I regularly receive the rates of the Mandis. |

I was in process to transport my produce of (approx 1000 boxes in 2 trucks) to Delhi when I got an SMS through RML that the freight rate from Kotgarh to Delhi is Rs 41.07 per box. I showed this message to the truck operator, who till then was citing a rate of Rs 44 per box. Following this I was able to settle the transporting deal at Rs. 41.07, finally saving around 3,000 rupees. Freight rate information was critical to me as I transported 8-10 truck loads of apples in this year’s season. I will recommend other people to avail of this service and reap benefit through timely information. |

About eighty farmers in my village have benefited from RML news on Tur seeds being distributed at subsidized rate which I shared with them and are now eager to avail of the RML service. Market prices are what I keep regular track of and accordingly move my produce to a market where price is higher.
